In addition to landing Sallie Krawcheck, Bank of America has lured Benjamin Perkins, a Bay Area biotech guru, and William Bird, an advertising and marketing analyst.
Perkins, who was most recently with Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco, has midwived a number of big deals over the years, including the $75 million IPO of Amicus Therapeutics and the $52 million IPO of Helicos Biosciences.
His title will be managing director of life sciences i-banking.
Bird, joins the big Charlotte bank from Steinberg Asset Management where he landed after a decade with Smith Barney/Citigroup.
