Deloitte recently began construction on a $300 million training, conference and hotel complex outside Fort Worth, Texas. The center will be home to "Deloitte University," the accounting firm's learning and leadership-development efforts. It's expected to open in 2011. The campus will include:
-- 800 guest rooms
-- 35 classrooms and learning spaces
-- A gym, running trails and other recreational activities
The center could host up to 40,000 visitors annually. It is located in Westlake, Texas, a rural community near the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with its share of Fortune 500 companies and suburban subdivisions. The town's Web site says that dining choices boast plenty of Italian and Tex-Mex offerings and "even include a delicatessen."
The center will have its own dining venues.
