The Royal Bank of Scotland's holiday party this year will be royally sparing.
The troubled bank plans to contribute about 10 pounds per employee, or $16, toward its holiday parties this year, said Bloomberg News. The calculation is enough to buy a pint of lager, a refill and a side of potato chips.
Though the Edinburgh-based bank was the recipient of one of the world's biggest public bailout packages, it is not alone in trimming its holiday festivities this year. Goldman Sachscanceled its seasonal soiree for the second consecutive year and Bank of America is said to be forgoing celebrations as well.
