Some of the Galleon cats have landed on their feet. After Galleon Group closed due to Raj Rajaratnam's malfeasance, scores of employees were left without a job. Now, Soros Fund Management and Citadel Investment Group have hired three former Galleons.
Eric Wasserstrom and Rajeev Patel will serve as financial sector analysts at Soros, and Charles Benziger will take up his post as consumer-industry analyst at Citadel's San Fran office.
Galleon had about 124 employees at the time of its demise, so we'll keep you posted on their whereabouts. This initial bit of good news proves, though, that you can pick yourself up from anything -- provided you personally weren't involved in any insider trading, that is.
