Gary Cohn and Lloyd Blankfein had a busy morning phoning Goldman's partner class of 2011, which was announced today in an internal memo.
By our count, about 16 out of the 110 new partners are women. Compare this to the 54 female partners out of 383 total (14%), cited in a gender discrimination lawsuit filed against the bank in September. Goldman declined to comment. UPDATE: A Goldman spokesperson told FINS our count was not accurate but, when asked, declined to be more specific.
The figures in the lawsuit are from 2008.
The appointments will take effect January 1.
