Bank of America Merrill Lynch announced that RBC Capital Markets' Tim Johnston will join as head of equity capital markets for Canada. He will be based in Toronto, reporting to management there as well as to Frank Maturo and Peter Chapman, co-heads of Americas equity capital markets based in New York.
Johnson will work across industry groups and deliver equity capital markets products to clients. He will seek to boost BofA Merrill's position in the new issue markets in the country.
At RBC Capital Markets, where he worked for 20 years, Johnston was managing director in the global mining and metals group in Toronto and a managing director in the equity capital markets group. His expertise is in equity-related financings and M&A.
He received an honors bachelor of business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
