Chevy Chase, Md.-based insurance company Geico announced plans to hire 100 new employees in sales, customer service and claims in its Dallas office.
The office currently employs 1,350 staffers. The company employs 23,000 nationwide.
The company, which is owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway, is considering candidates with a high school diploma and experience in sales and service. Prior knowledge of the insurance industry is not necessary.
Geico announced it would hire 300 in Amherst, N.Y. in January.
Geico is the third-largest auto insurer in the U.S. Its competitor, New York Life, plans to hire 3,500 agents this year, a repeat of last year, when it brought on 3,300 new recruits.
