Financial advisor shop Raymond James has hired former UBS chief information officer Bella Loykhter Allaire to become its new executive vice president of technology and operations.
Allaire will begin at the Florida-based firm June 20 and report to CEO Paul Reilly, according to a statement from the company.
Allaire will take over many of the responsibilties of Angela Biever, chief administrative officer, who will become interim head of human resources following the departure of former HR head Pam Ward. Biever oversaw information technology, operations and administration at the company.
In other organizational changes at Raymond James, chief risk officer George Catanese will now report directly to Reilly, "reflecting regulatory changes and industry best practices," according to the statement. Previously, Catanese previously reported to Biever.
Allaire led the "transformation" of UBS's wealth management division, the statement said. She worked previously at Prudential Securities, as CEO of Wealthigen, and as a technology strategy consultant to Morgan Stanley.
