Tip: Mitsubishi UFJ Hiring
Japanese lender Mitsubishi UFJ will hire 3,000 people for its retail banking operations outside of Japan. The bank will hire in China, India and Indonesia, among other countries. The firm will also expand its footprint in other sectors of finance with plans to add 50 derivatives traders and 150 sales and research staff around the world.

J.P. Morgan is sending its head of investment banking, Jeff Urwin, to Hong Kong for good. He'll also be come chief executive for Asia. It's the first time the company has placed the global head of investment banking in the region, reflecting the premium the firm has placed on Asia as a home for clients and business. Don't be surprised if the firm continues to add talent to its teams nearby.
