BNP Paribas is hiring analysts, traders and sales staff for its Japanese equity coverage, hoping to take advantage of a rebound in the Japanese economy. It plans to add three equity research analysts to cover each of the commodity, technology and machinery industries as well as three salespeople, bringing the total new hires in Japan to nine.

Getting a job now on Wall Street might be tough, but expanding your horizons beyond New York could land you a finance job. Regional banks such as Cleveland-based KeyCorp and Cincinnati-based Fifth Third are hiring investment bankers as they expand into stock, bond and loan offerings as well as mergers and acquisitions. KeyCorp has hired 150 people for its capital markets and investment banking unit since the beginning of 2010, bringing total headcount in the division to around 565.
