Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group Inc., provides private banking, trust services, estate services, and investment-management services. The New York-based company creates long-term asset-allocation strategies, develops customized investment solutions and provides risk-management analysis and advisory services. Peter Scaturro, formerly of U.S. Trust, has headed the business since 2007.
"There's only one thing we sell, and that's trust," Goldman's Web site says on a page labeled "Who We Look For." Careers are "either a marathon or a sprint," it says. Goldmanites aren't likely to last 15 years sprinting. "We look for people who want to run the marathon."
