Recruiting

Markel has an extensive training program that allows recent college graduates and current Markel associates a broader exposure to the business operations and the insurance industry. Trainees participate in the rotational program for 12 months with the goal of being placed in a position that matches their skills and interests. Departments include claims, underwriting, marketing, IT, legal, human resources, finance and actuarial.
