UBS O'Connor LLC, a subsidiary of UBS AG, is a hedge-fund manager. The company provides absolute-return investment management through its single-manager funds. Its programs include currency and rates, credit strategies, convertible securities, and equity strategies. Chicago-based UBS O'Connor has offices in New York, London, and Hong Kong.
Alexander Ineichen, global head of research at the alternative and quantitative investments platform of UBS Global Asset Management, which includes UBS O'Connor, recently left UBS after eight years at the Swiss bank.

UBS O'Connor has a storied history. Swiss Bank Corp. bought O'Connor & Associates, a Chicago-based derivatives shop in 1992. O'Connor & Associates became part of SBC Warburg, after the 1995 acquisition of London investment bank S.G. Warburg Group. O'Connor is now part of
USB AG's alternative investments division but has sought to preserve its cultural identity.
