Lexington Insurance Co., based in Boston, is a subsidiary of American International Group Inc. The company offers commercial property, casualty and specialty coverage. It is one of the country’s largest sellers of medical malpractice insurance. One of its more unusual products is Pandemic Rx, which reimburses for business-income loss incurred by acute-care medical facilities during an influenza pandemic event.
