Humana prides itself on its track record of innovation. The company recently hired a chief strategy officer, Paul Kusserow, who had been managing director of private equity at Chicago investment firm B.C. Ziegler and Co. Inc. In addition to strategic planning, he'll lead Humana's M&A and venture capital activities.
