Cincinnati Financial Corp. is a publicly-traded U.S. property-and-casualty insurer. Through its subsidiaries, the company offers commercial lines of property/casualty insurance, personal lines of property/casualty insurance, life insurance and investments. It also markets disability income policies and annuities. The company’s main subsidiary is Cincinnati Insurance Co.
Cincinnati Financial markets its business in 35 states. It has its own sales force as well as relationships with independent agents at 1,300 locations.
The firm recently shuttered its asset-management subsidiary Cin Fin Capital Management Co. In its annual report, Cincinnati Financial said while the division was profitable over its 10 years of existence “further growth would have required resources we believe we can use more strategically to advance our core insurance business."
