Overview

Citi Private Bank is the global private bank of Citigroup Inc. The private bank caters to high-net-worth individuals and families with a minimum net worth of $25 million, as well as attorneys and law firms. It offers investing, risk management, lending, investment banking and trust, philanthropy and art advisory services. It has approximately 100 offices and 400 bankers in more than 30 countries and manages an estimated $200 billion in assets. It has 22 locations serving about 10,000 clients in North America.

Parent Citigroup is in the midst of a major overhaul. It recently spun off its Smith Barney brokerage into a joint venture with Morgan Stanley.

Recruiting

The private bank is expected to double the number of private bankers in North America to about 260 in the next several years. It has been hiring regional executives to lead recruitment in key markets and has already been adding bankers in Miami, Chicago, Dallas and Connecticut.

Citi Private Bank CEO Jane Fraser was voted the most influential woman in finance in 2009 by readers of Financial News Online.
