Munich Re America Corp., a member of the Munich Re Group, is one of the largest reinsurers in the U.S. It offers a range of property and casualty coverage through multiple distribution channels. Primary program insurance products are available through its affiliated operations, American Alternative Insurance Corp., the Princeton Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Co. and American Modern Insurance Group. The company has offices in Princeton, N.J., San Francisco, Overland Park, Kan., Chicago, Hartford, Conn., New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Columbus, Ohio.

Munich Re America recently acquired all the shares in U.S. specialty insurer HSB Group Inc. from American International Group Inc.
