As a market leader in providing illiquid portfolio pricing valuation, our Portfolio Valuation professionals assist clients in the valuation of alternative investments, specifically for securities and positions for which there are no "active market" quotations available.

Responsibilities:

Our Portfolio Valuation Advisory practice combines unparalleled exposure to issues facing alternative asset managers along with leading valuation and corporate finance techniques. Portfolio Valuation Advisory Interns work on a variety of assignments, including product development, research and special projects as well as equity and debt securities valuations across a wide variety of asset classes and industries.
  • Performing client, industry, market and competitor research
  • Compiling market data on various alternative asset industry participants
  • Assisting with valuation analysis on a wide range of private investments using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
  • Contributing to the development of proposals, presentations and publications communicated to current and prospective clients

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management (with a concentration in Finance) or a MBA from an accredited college or university
  • Expected graduation date between December 2012 and August 2013
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 or if GPA is not used, must be in top 20% of class
  • Strong interest in the Alternative Asset Management Industry
  • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to master new tasks quickly
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
