Job Description

Responsibilities

Incumbent to possess strong knowledge of Global Markets products and a general overview of corporate operations and hold responsibility for development and execution of the build out of the local incorporation in China
Work closely with Front Office (Traders, sales and Marketers), Middle Office, and regional/global hubs to support FX/MM, Fixed Income and Derivative products
Undertake all global markets operation tasks, including economic affirmation / confirmation, CNY settlement, Funding predictions, manual accounting & reconciliations
Perform Security settlement via CBBS system for Bonds/Repo deals
Establish/update operational procedures which include control measures and ensure the procedures are in strict compliance with internal policies as well as governing rules and regulations
Liaise with other positions in Legal, Compliance, Audit etc as necessary on internal and external audits and inspections in order to maintain top class operational excellence in the function within stipulated timeframe
Support consistency of transition and integration approach between current and target platforms as appropriate
Lead and initiate technology related innovations to foster excellence and innovate/envision competitive solutions. Work with technology partners for effective implementation and execution
Supervise and manage the overall performance of team members; objectives setting, staffs coaching and feedback as per appraisal cycle.
Ascertain staff training requirements, ensures team member are provided with appropriate training

Requirements

Knowledge of global markets products: fixed income, interest/exchange rate, credit derivative etc as minimum. it would be a plus if knowledge extending to equities securities
LCT settlement experience & local regulatory knowledge is a must, local incorp experience will definitely be a plus
7 - 10 years bank/financial industry working experience, at least 5 years in Global Markets Operations and 4 years in people management
Strong control mindset, familiar with process review, process improvement and implementation, direct experience in operational risk management is a plus
Bachelor degree in finance related major, master degrees would be a plus
Good command of both verbal and written English/mandarin
Responsive, positive, professional, and be able to work under pressure.
