Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the relationship initiation and relationship expansion activities focusing on clients and prospects within the MidCorporate market segment. Establish and execute a sales and service strategy to achieve team's loan growth, relationship expansion, credit quality, and customer service goals and objectives. Monitor and report on sales activity, pipeline and team financial results. Support human resource activities within team including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching. Support appropriate decisions and decision making process on extensions of credit within team. Primarily engaged in leadership activities but likely to maintain a small portfolio of key customer or prospect relationships. Initiate and participate in regional or national projects supporting the development of the MidCorporate banking activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or accounting.

Successful completion of a formal commercial credit training program at a recognized corporate bank.

12+ years of successful commercial banking / capital markets. Experience with a recognized corporate bank.

3+ years of direct management of relationship manager team(s) with proven leadership skills.

Existing knowledge of the Illinois MidCorporate marketplace required - knowledge of additional markets is viewed as a plus.

Demonstrated ability to originate and expand banking relationships.

Established business network.

Advanced analytical, loan structuring, underwriting, documentation, credit, and administrative skills.

Demonstrated success in originating cross-sell products including debt capital markets, international finance, hedging products, cash management, and corporate card.

Desire and ability to work in a team oriented environment both within team, with product partners, with RBS and with other internal stakeholders.

Flexibility to be successful in a dynamic growth oriented work environment.

Ability to recruit a team of Relationship Manager/Corporate Bankers, Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Assistants.

Strong negotiating and sales skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
