Job Description:
Securitized Trading is one of the most successful trading franchises at DB, producing consistent profits (the desk has never reported a negative IBIT), while running a very cost efficient business model. The new joiner starts in a generalist role, supporting multiple product lines, thus familiarizing themselves with the business and the range of products. The successful candidate will grow into a full trading role with one of the product lines: CDO Secondary, ABS Consumer, CMBS Secondary, or Nonagency RMBS. The desk currently has one junior trader at the Jacksonville office who has been part of the CDO secondary desk for 3 years and has become a successful junior trader with expanding responsibilities.
Immediate / beginning responsibilities include:
Desk-wide junior trader support role
Review trades for CRD2 / 3 relevance, conduct due diligence on the asset composition, seniority, securitization attributes
Communicate changes to support
Desk reporting (for the desk head): aging of CDI assets, calculation MRSA RWA, validation of the bal sheet reporting with GBS
Position maintenance - assist traders with 1) repo booking and reconciliation of the repo positions in the trade capture system;
2) accepting derivative positions fed from Summit into STS
Work with IT and traders on UAT and new release testing
Ad Hoc reporting / analysis to the desk head / COO
Requirements:
Strong academic background
Outstanding verbal and communication skills
Ability, attitude and temperament to deliver in a high pressure environment is an absolute must
Strong numerical and analytical skills; excellent communication skills
Individual with a commitment and motivation for self development and growth
Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
