Job Description


Speciality finance company addressing the capital needs of venture capital and private equity-backed companies is looking for a Managing Director and Group Head of Life Sciences.

As a Managing Director and Group Head of Life Sciences, you will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the entire Technology origination team, as well as the special situation/lower middle market group. You will manage a total of 18 employees, with planned headcount on the increase to 26.

Day to day oversight of maintaining the life science team's focus, achieving goals, headcount and ultimately be accountable for group performance.

This person is likely to sit on the company's Investment Committee if senior enough

The successful candidate needs the following skills:

-Able to make transactions; a real hustler mentality.

- M&A background within an Investment Bank or similar, understanding the urgency of making quarterly performance results

- Significant gravitas to act as an ambassador in constantly managing VC relationships

- Knowledge of credit structuring and life science sector is vital
