Responsibilities:.
  • Coordinate and supervise annual audit of the fund, and act as primary liaison with the outside auditors or administrators
  • Supervise the preparation of year-end financial statements for hedge funds and private equity fund of funds
  • Exposure to multiple hedge fund strategies, including Distressed Debt, Structured Finance, Fixed Income, Long/Short, Market Neutral, Global Macro, and Convertible Arb. products include: bank debt, bonds (asset-backed, convertible, etc.), collateralized debt obligations, credit default swaps, equities, forward contracts, futures, interest rate swaps, mortgage backed securities, repurchase agreements, and warrants
  • Prepare Funds quarterly financial statements, review withholding calculations reconcile capital calls and waterfall distributions
  • Manage work of small staff (Review work)
  • Managed cash movements and funding needs across all management entities and GP's personal cash flow needs
  • Review tax allocations, K-1's, Financial Statements and tax returns for the management companies
  • Tax planning strategy for firm's entities in conjunction with internal/external tax professionals
  • Review contracts to assure that potential accounting, reporting and tax issues are identified
  • Other ad hoc reports as requested by senior management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting,
  • CPA (or CPA in process) strongly preferred
  • 5+ year combined Hedge Fund Experience (Public or Private Experience)
  • strong working knowledge of partnership accounting and waterfall distributions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
