Job Description

This is an incredible opportunity for someone to join a well functioning team, but have the opportunity to truly 'own' this piece of the business by spearheading fundraising activities and becoming the firm's face to investors. As the Investor Relations private equity professional, the individual will be responsible for establishing and managing new and existing investor relationships and leading the team's capital raising efforts. The person will have the support of a small dynamic and experienced team around them to assist with these IR activities. The firm's investors include major institutional and individual North American clients so the ability to develop and foster relationships is a key component to this position.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of Private Equity Distribution/Fund Marketing experience
An undergraduate degree is a must, an MBA degree will be considered an asset
Must have strong client contacts (Pensions, Consultants, Endowments, Foundations, Sovereign Wealth Funds, FoFs, Family Offices and HNW Individuals) and experience raising large amounts of capital in private equity
Candidate must be commercial, articulate and confident; possessing a high level of oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently yet comfortably direct a small IR team
Given the marketing nature of the role, candidate must be able to travel 25-50% of the time
