Our growing Public Sector Advisory practice provides management consulting, technology consulting and risk consulting services to help government agencies anticipate and address their most complex challenges. Our Public Sector practice works with Federal, State and Local Governments as well as International Agencies on a range of complex matters. Additionally, our Junior Military Office program provides an opportunity for service members who excelled in their military career to continue serving their country through Public Sector consulting.
As a team member of our Consulting practice, you will provide advisory services focused on implementing process improvement solutions that strengthen accountability, and promote effective financial processes and procedures at Fortune 500 organizations. Financial Management team members identify, assess, analyze and mitigate some of the most significant financial issues these organizations. Project work may include involvement with financial process improvement, financial alignment with organizational goals, and enterprise-wide finance transformation. .
As a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory team, you will join professionals with unparalleled financial and accounting expertise, knowledge of business processes, industry insight and technology, and customer relationship skills. Through our capabilities in these areas, we assist our clients in translating strategy into action. Position/Program Requirements Knowledge Preferred:
Extensive knowledge advising federal organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in financial management, budgeting, and internal/external reporting. Extensive experience developing business within the federal sector, along with a demonstrated understanding of federal procurement regulations.
Extensive knowledge in at least two of the following areas: federal financial policy and controls, federal budgeting, grants management, and federal financial management systems and controls.
Extensive functional knowledge of business intelligence and performance management software tools.
Skills Preferred:
Extensive experience and the ability to identify, obtain and process critical data (e.g. benchmarks) to challenge the status quo through innovative thought leadership in the application of standard industry practice solutions for federal entities. Contribute to the development of a business vision and manage implementation efforts with complex project management capabilities. Strong ability to manage teams and complex client relationships with proven track record of sales in the federal market.
Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
Extensive knowledge of federal financial accounting standards, and regulations such as FFMIA, FMFIA are preferred.

Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance or Accounting required. Masters of Business Administration preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification required.
