Job Description

As a Business Analyst in Equity Trading and Analytics Technology, your initial focus will be the building out of the firm's next generation proprietary Equity and Equity Derivatives Trading Systems. You will use your business and technical expertise to facilitate trading systems consolidation and aid in the re-engineering of Equity trading systems.

Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst's role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders.
You will work closely with the trading desks and technology partners to integrate new initiatives and streamline technology offerings in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
This will include interviewing stakeholders, collecting relevant data/information, and gathering user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
Responsible for business analysis, scope management, stakeholder management and UAT/testing
Project planning to include the definition of scope, ensuring that functional and technical design are consistent with the strategic direction of Equity Derivatives Trading Technology

Requirements

BA in finance, computer science, or related field
Working experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Equities, Equity Derivatives, or other Front Office role
Working knowledge of SQL
Experience with Fidessa or other Equity trading system is a plus
Knowledge of Equities and Equity Derivatives preferred
Good understanding of the SDLC
