Responsibilities

Support the Global Risk Management Specialized Lending Team in the analysing, due diligence and credit approval management related to project financing, asset financing, commodity financing and any other types of specialized financings. These transactions mostly will involve America as the final destination of the funding.
Assist in the analysis and rating of potential transactions, including detailed modeling and review of project documents
Prepare drafts of reports for the internal credit committees (New York, Madrid, local banks) on the different transactions under evaluation and work with them in order to permit a good understanding of the transaction proposed.
Review the due diligence of the transactions
Other tasks as directed by the Head of Global Risk Management Specialized Lending from time to time.
Credit approval process and, if necessary, defend/support the transaction in front of Credit Committees (Madrid, local banks: Compass, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia,...).
Perform Portfolio Monitoring of BBVA specialized financings in America.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business or Engineering
MBA, CFA, FRM is a plus; Financial Engineering is a plus
At least 5 years experience working in related fields, preferably in project finance transactions(credit or front side
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Financial structuring background / credit department obtained through different transactions structured in the past.
Deep analytical skills in order to determine the borrowers' financial situation and ability to face debt requirements to be acquired as a result of a potential transaction. The job also requires the knowledge of financial tools and alternatives as well as to develop detailed financial projections.
Good communication skills both written and oral
