Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring the bank receives the value we require for vendors we do business with.
  • This position interacts with internal bank Process Owners and the Vendor to enforce compliance with contractual terms; monitor performance; raise, manage, and/or mitigate risks; and develop a relationship that is beneficial to both the bank and the vendor.
  • Associate will be aligned to within region vendors supporting the business.
  • Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing the end to end vendor management process, ensuring the business adheres to the Standard Operating Requirements (SOR).

Required Skills
  • Risk identification and management experience
  • Results oriented, implementing practices and processses that drive accountability; willingness to re-examine and adjust where necessary
  • Proven project management and facilitation ability - able to naviate and resolve complex issues
  • Able to manage a complex portfolio with multiple projects and deliver quality on-time work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability in leading conference meetings, influence decisions, and drive outcomes
  • Strong positive interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs
  • Ability to operate independently in a nebulous environment
  • Able to quickly adapt and accept change
Desired Skills
  • Vendor Management or Sourcing experience
  • Familiarity with VMP requirements and deliverables
  • Treasury / Credit knowledge
  • Project Management Skills/Certification
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Ability to build and forge strong relationships with Sr. Business Leaders across a matrixed environment
  • Can clearly advise and make recommendations to help LOB/GCF make vendor related decisions
  • Proven ability to manage contract compliance, interpret contract terms and conditions, and resolve contract issues
  • Proactively identifies the appropriate metrics to ensure vendor is operating efficiently and effectively, with minimal risks
  • Proven ability to performance manage vendors and drive continuous vendor improvement (inclusive of day-to-day performance management, QA and QC, analyzing performance and utilizing Six Sigma tools to reduce cost or risk or increase the value of the outsourced product or service)
  • Strong relationship management skills; proactively building, maintaining, and using key relationships to build trust/credibility and promote objectives
  • Proven ability to assume a leadership role in resolving issues and acting as an arbiter / mediator between the vendor, LOB/GCF and Bank when issues arise.
