Responsibilities
Role / Responsibilities / Key objectives

Senior Technology Risk Personnel within AP GCCIB T&O BCMR engaged in risk advisory and assessment of Technology related issues and incident management within GCCIB T&O and working with relevant cross divisional teams.

Responsibilities include :
  • Ability to independently risk assess technology issues and problem management. This also includes assessing impact from a business Operations perspective, working with Operations peers within AP GCCIB T&O BCMR.
  • Drive cross coordination/ execution of Risk activities and assessment. This includes strong execution/ process focus to drive remediation, monitor progress, and go-to-green plans where known risk control gaps exist.
  • Drive a strong culture of operational risk management within Asia GCCIB T&O
  • Monitor and report on risk activities to Head of AP GCCIB T&O BCMR and respective teams within AP GCCIB T&O.
  • Support for regulatory reviews - including managing relationships with other Asia risk and compliance contacts
  • Deliver on Self Assessment of risk / Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) input for Asia Technology impact
  • Provide Risk subject matter expertise for Technology areas in particular architecture and change management
  • Manage and ensure timely execution of any Business As Usual (BAU) risk and control routines related to GCCIB T&O people, process, systems and external events within Asia.
  • Exercise judgment and influence business leaders and peers to Firm / External requirements and operational risk programs, balancing business strategy with appropriate risk/reward balance and adequate controls and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Technology, Operations, Audit, Compliance, and other control groups


Requirements
  • Experience (10-15 years) in technology risk management, including information security management and technology audit management
  • Independent thinking. Strong risk assessment ability to independently conclude on risk and control matters
  • Comfort level to interact with and present to Executives/ Senior Leaders
  • Logical Thinker and great problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build deep and broad business/ technical acumen
  • Proven project planning and management experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and virtual environment
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results
  • Process building/ re-engineering skills
  • Ability to operate in a Global environment- manage across time zones
  • Strong Data Skills
  • Management reporting skills / expertise in powerpoint reports to communicate progress against targets
  • Mandarin or Japanese speaking skills would be advantageous
  • Ability to present risk and control concepts in a sharp and succinct manner
  • Self starter and reliable to follow through
  • Demonstrated ability to liaison with business partners as well as partner technology teams and influence and negotiate win-win outcomes.
  • Desire to mentor and invest time on team members.
  • Ability to proactively juggle responsibilities spanning a 24X7 time-frame with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Relevant Technology Certified; Relevant Risk Qualifications / Membership;
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Able to discern when to escalate issues.
