Job Description

Individual will be responsible for writing research notes, interacting with tier 1 hedge funds and mutual funds, and conducting primary research. This is an opportunity to join the leadership of a growing research practice and continue the development of a premier brand in policy research.

Candidates should have background knowledge in the E&P/oil and gas industry, and exhibit a strong intellectual curiosity. Preference given to candidates in a similar role on the sell-side/buy-side.

Desired experience:

At least 3 years experience ideally covering U.S. E&P/Oil and Gas on the sell-side or buy-side but will consider experience at one or more of the following:
A regulatory agency such as the Department of Interior and/or EPA
Consulting for the oil and gas or pipeline industries
Understanding of key legislative and regulatory trends and intersection of those trends with ongoing industry developments
Familiarity with state-level regulatory trends in key oil and gas producing states

Candidates should be able to:

Conduct independent research on key issues
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Have an ability to meet deadlines
Have well developed analytical skills
Be willing to meet new challenges with enthusiasm
