POSITION DESCRIPTION

Summary:

The Financial Analyst candidate will work within the PIMCO Financial Planning & Analysis department and will be a part of the Consolidations and Reporting team. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual and have the capacity to handle and work on multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Flexibility is a must. The position requires an energetic and confident individual with solid communication and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and accountability is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities: (including the following and other duties may be assigned)

Financial Reporting & Analysis, budgeting and forecasting include but are not limited to:

Analyzing and reporting of assigned division's budgets forecast and actual financial results.
Coordinate monthly analysis and dialogue of consolidated income statement.
Liaison with division managers, accounting, treasury, finance, and other AAM & PIMCO organizations as needed.

Other responsibilities may include:

Develop detail expense analysis.
Coordinate rolling 2-3 year forecast at various consolidation levels.
Budget, forecast and monitor actual capital expenditures and depreciation.
Budget, forecast and analyze actual results of balance sheet at various consolidation levels.
Document processes.
Prepare and/or review presentations
Ad Hoc reporting and special projects.

Qualifications:

Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
Proficiency with Visual Basic & macros, MS Access & Visio are a plus.
Experienced user of Hyperion Essbase excel add-in.
Hyperion Planning and SAP or other multidimensional database, reporting and consolidation applications and ERP system is preferred.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Qualified candidates will possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as well as strong accounting, analytical, and organizational skills.
Qualified candidates must have the ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks, challenges and aggressive deadlines.
Candidates must be able to respond effectively to inquiries from various levels of management.
Qualified candidates will have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence.

Education and/or Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or similar role.
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar is required
Experience in the Asset Management industry is a big plus, but not required.
