This process includes the consistent application of the credit policy, periodic reviews of existing customers, the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, and collection efforts required to assure timely customer payment.
The goal of the process is to optimize company revenues, while minimizing bad debt losses. Works with Credit Representatives to monitor credit and collection activity.
Determines course of action for delinquent accounts as well as accounts exceeding their credit limit.
Assists upper management with monthly reporting activities and various projects. Credit lines in Refining can range from $50,000 to $50,000,000 requiring high proficiency in financial analysis.
Knowledge of financial modeling, ratio, trend and liquidity analysis is essential.

Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance and minimum 8-12 years B2B (Business-to-Business) COMMERCIAL credit and collections experience with emphasis on understanding financial statements and analyzing new and existing customer credit worthiness.
Must have proven experience reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) minimizing credit risk and improving aging of receivables with strong ability to assess customer credit information by reviewing financial statements and other credit resources, establishing customer credit limits, allowing for maximum profitable customer sales while minimizing losses.
Must have experience monitoring customer outstanding credit balances and aging, tracking all reports, identifying problem accounts and determining resolution.
Must have the ability to maintain strong internal and external customer relations using interpersonal, oral, and written communications while enforcing approved payment terms in accordance with policies.
Participation in weekly/monthly accounts receivable review with various divisions; identify issues; with the ability to make recommendations for appropriate course of action.
Must have intermediate Excel 2007 experience to maintain customer credit activity to implement controls and to minimize credit risk plus create other financial reporting data as necessary.
Note: Excel 2007 assessment will be administered at time of interview.
