This is a key role within the Business Analytics team that is a part of the Central Marketing Team. The Business Analytics Teams role is focused on identifying, developing and implementing growth strategies for the firm and creating analysis to better understand the business and Moody's Analytics customers. This role will focus on helping to build out a data mining capability and mining customer data to develop and support growth strategies.

-Evaluate and mine various types of customer data to identify potential revenue opportunities, for example pricing strategies, product bundling strategies or client retention strategies.
-Develop short-term and long-term plans that ensure the adoption of identified strategies. Assess implications of your plans, including the risks.
-Work on the communication documents to recommend strategies and obtain buy-in from senior management and key internal stakeholders
-Assist in implementing and monitoring the execution of the strategies in coordination with various internal departments

Qualifications
-Good academic background (MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution required)

Experience
-3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning, product development, customer data or management consulting required
-Financial services or B2B marketing experience preferred
-Knowledge and experience with data warehouses, data modelling, data mining and business intelligence tools
-Experience using data mining and statistical analysis to identify new market opportunities and customer target lists.
-Understanding of the fixed income/ credit risk market preferred

Key Skills
Technical
-Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Access, SQL and SPSS desirable.
-Proficiency in various data mining research methods (e.g. clustering, neural networks)
-Comfort with Statistical Analysis
-Knowledge of Cognos a plus.

Non technical skills
-Creatively develop & synthesize data insights
-Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary project working groups
-Highly organized with extensive attention to detail
-Ability to spot data issues, search for and find solutions
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude in displaying and communicating data analysis
