Job Description

The MDM Business Data Analyst/Project Manager position requires a well-balanced combination of the following:

Extensive, in-depth business analysis spanning requirements gathering/definition; process analysis/documentation; solution/options design; stakeholder engagement; facilitation/syndication skills;
Project planning/management skills;
Generating business and functional requirements for enterprise-wide customer based master reference data;
Participating in the project management of a Customer Master Data Management project;
MDM business solution design and understand the principles behind the process;
Working with clients to establish data standards, including metadata definitions;
Data analysis and profiling skills using common tools to confirm data populations/exceptions;
Designing/developing data governance standards, roles and responsibilities;
Data conversions, data mapping and data cleansing;
Business process analysis and design for customer, including testing, training and support procedures; and
Full lifecycle system integration testing including writing plans and test cases as well as preparing and conducting user acceptance testing

Additional Skills and Requirements:

Strong communication and presentation (oral and written) skills.
Ability to create use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams and context diagrams.
Ability to work with the business community at multiple levels excellent listening skills to comprehend what is said and probe for relevant detailed information.
Gather information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose details and abstract to higher-level understanding.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements.
Strong organizational skills to work with a vast array of information and requirements from multiple business areas.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple task assignments and deliver results within time/budget.
Experience with requirements management tools (HP ALM), data profiling (SAS DataFlux, IBM Quality Stage, SQL, etc) toolsets is a plus.
Experience with master data management MDM toolsets with emphasis on Customer is a plus.
Experience with CRM (customer relationship management) and CDI (customer data integration) tools and processes are a plus.
