Job Description

The Risk Developer/Analyst will be responsible for both application development and risk management duties:

Application Development

Implement robust, maintainable risk solutions in C#
Implement robust, maintainable risk solutions in Matlab, when appropriate
Critique and improve current risk architecture and code
Ensure that Risk processes are running smoothly
Maintain and debug risk applications, when necessary

Risk Management

Understand and implement the risk models employed by the firm
Analyze risk measurement results and communicate results to trading desks, when necessary
Suggest improvements to current models or develop new calculations

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

A strong analytical background. MA or PhD in a quantitative field is preferred
Demonstrated accomplishment as a developer
The ability to think creatively about unique problems
The desire and ability to quickly translate ideas into useful results
An intuitive understanding of financial derivatives
Confidence without arrogance
Excellent communications skills
Exposure to trading and/or risk management in the context of financial products is desired
