Our Public Sector practice works with Federal, State and Local Governments as well as International Agencies on a range of complex matters. Additionally, our Junior Military Office program provides an opportunity for service members who excelled in their military career to continue serving their country through Public Sector consulting.
Our Operations consultants help clients realize competitive advantage from operations. This high performing team translates business strategy into operations strategy and transforms operations to drive both growth and profitability. Specific areas of focus include global footprint and network design, product innovation and development, sales and operations planning, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing operations, service operations, logistics, and capital programs. Position/Program Requirements Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates intimate knowledge of and a proven record of success in management and control techniques for complex, multibillion-dollar valued capital projects across multiple clients and industries, and across the full capital project lifecycle (analysis of front end governance/controls, through mid-project cost and schedule assessments, to back end dispute resolution services). Specifically, having led successfully many of the following areas:
-Project governance, e.g. organizational and process aspects -Risk analysis and mitigation, e.g. project performance, financial/budgetary, safety, quality assurance -Construction management and controls, e.g. schedule and cost, change management -Complex schedule analytics, e.g. critical path method (CPM), change and delay impacts -Contract development and management, e.g. commercial terms, scope control, claims -Performance metrics and project reporting -Project technology, e.g. project and portfolio management, applications to quantify cause and effect of delays
Demonstrates intimate knowledge of capital intensive industries (e.g., nuclear facilities, power plants, oil refineries, transmission and distribution, and other infrastructure), including industry-leading practices for improving capital project performance and identifying and implementing process improvements that can help clients achieve business requirements.
The following completed and obtained additional degrees and certifications are preferred:
-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field -Certification(s) as Professional Engineer; Project Management Professional; Scheduling and/or Cost Professional; Primavera P6 or other project technology certifications; or other related certification programs

Demonstrates a proven record of intimate and extensive abilities with leading diverse, cross-functional teams in establishing, monitoring, and controlling complex capital projects, for individual projects as well as aggregated portfolios, including the following:
-Managing multiple capital projects and teams concurrently, while maintaining profitability and meeting deadlines -Developing innovative solutions to complex problems, independently and proactively -Utilizing multiple technologies, e.g. project control tools such as Primavera P6 or equivalent, financial/ERP systems, statistics and risk packages, Microsoft Office suite (including Access database) -Managing project workflow, resources, budgets and billings/collections to profitability -Building high performing teams, including providing meaningful written and verbal feedback to colleagues
Demonstrates intimate and extensive abilities with communicating technical concepts in a clear manner, verbally and in writing, to advance business initiatives, including a proven record of the following results:
-Developing deliverables that effectively convey complex technical concepts, and present technical findings to senior client personnel -Leading development of proposals that strategically articulate the value of service offerings to generate new projects -Presenting at industry-specific, public events and contribute to industry-related external publications
Demonstrates intimate and significant proven accomplishments with achieving new business development in a fee-based consulting environment that includes proven extensive abilities to identify proactively client needs and communicate effectively the solutions that can be provided. Also brings a fully developed network of commercial clients involved in and/or sponsoring capital projects at the decision-making level.
