Job Description

Junius Real Estate Partners ("Junius") is the U.S. opportunistic real estate investment division of J.P. Morgan Asset Management - Global Real Assets, a leading global real estate asset manager with over US$60 billion in assets under management.
Junius operates as an independent investment boutique focused on opportunistic and special situations equity and debt investments in high quality U.S. real estate.The Junius team currently comprises 8 investment professionals based in New York.
Team members are responsible for all investment identification, execution and asset management on behalf of the strategy.
Associates on the Junius team are responsible for working with Junius' investment officers who lead investment origination, evaluation, structuring, documentation, execution and asset management efforts.
Associates conduct supporting analysis and research, prepare financial models and memos, and participate in all parts of the investment underwriting, execution and asset management process.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in analyzing investment opportunities across asset classes and geographies
Financial modeling, including Excel and Argus models
Business writing, including investment memos and presentations
Active involvement in investment due diligence
Fund marketing and investment syndication support
Ongoing market and sector research

Qualifications

Strong financial modeling (Excel and Argus), business writing, presentation and oral communication skills
Strong research and analysis skills, with ability to synthesize and interpret data
Entrepreneurial, resourceful approach to problem solving
Conceptual thinking abilities
Ability to multi-task and organize work to meet deadlines, across multiple projects and managers
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge in and passion for commercial real estate
Minimum 3 years post-college work experience
Ideal backgrounds will include 1-3 years in investment banking, consulting, real estate development, investment or investment sales brokerage followed by 1-3 years of directly applicable real estate principal investment or lending experience
Bachelors degree required
