Job Description

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated expertise in fund manager due diligence, is intellectually curious, and has a passion for investing. He or she should have a strong analytical foundation and ability to sort through and synthesize information to:

determine what's important and what's not,
form well-founded opinions and insights, and
effectively articulate results, both verbally and in writing.

A primary responsibility of this position will be to conduct and update due diligence primarily on mutual fund managers but also separate account and some hedge fund managers across a variety of asset classes and investment strategies, potentially including alternative investments (expertise in alternatives would be advantageous).

This involves intensive qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, and requires familiarity with the mutual fund industry, facility with mutual fund databases such as Principia, undertaking extensive interviews with fund managers and other key investment personnel, and writing formal reports for our research publications.

This is not an entry-level position, nor is it a stepping-stone for someone who wants to move into portfolio management or equity analysis.
