Job Description

The Risk Management Policy candidate will be responsible for leading efforts to shape risk management policy, including identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for risk management standards, governance, and financial safeguards. This role is also tasked with leading risk management development for major project initiatives in Clearing, including policy changes, rule changes, and regulatory responses reflective of new business initiates and proposed regulatory changes.

The individual will liaise with regulatory bodies as they define CME's link to the financial system and importance in preserving financial stability. This includes assessing systemic risk, the potential impact of proposed regulatory changes, as well as managing regulatory requests and education efforts related to our risk management policies/procedures.

This role requires the ability to work both independently and collectively with several divisions across CME to deliver high quality results for high priority and time sensitive projects. Projects often require independent thinking and taking initiative to fully define the problem and recommend solutions. This role also requires frequent interaction with senior management from banks, firms, and regulatory bodies to assess client needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

BA or BS

Mnimum of 3 years' experience, largely focused on a regulatory field with Basel III and/or Dodd-Frank expertise or related management consulting in financial services
