About the Job
We are looking for an energetic, aggressive and well-rounded person for institutional equity sales support within KeyBanc Capital Markets. The capital markets environment is collegial, high paced competitive and puts a premium on being well-organized and able to juggle many projects simultaneously. Investment Associates support Institutional Equity Sales professionals in a variety of ways critical to the firm's success. Sales professionals, themselves, work with equity research analysts, traders and syndicate professionals to increase revenue and market share at important institutional accounts (investment management firms and mutual funds) nationwide. We arrange meetings between corporate executives of public companies and clients, sponsor field trips for clients to public company corporate headquarters and organize industry conferences throughout the U.S. that offer additional venues for client/corporate management interactions. Investment Associates specific responsibilities involve all these various areas and functions: preparing detailed itinerary's for KBCM research analyst and public company management trips, coordinating research analyst and management trip logistics, institutional sales CRM support, research conference support (Boston, NY), preparation of expense reports, compliance record keeping, organization of mailings-hardcopy/emails and phone coverage for department. In addition, responsibility may include trading back office follow-up and/or new account opening.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy trade floor environment is critical. If not Series 7 licensed, will be required within 6 months of employment. Experience in capital markets is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Series 7 licensed, Broker SIS and account opening and trade settlement capability
