The Position Responsibilities include:

Prepare periodic client reports and presentations for New York Life's General Account and Third Party Institutional portfolio reports produced from various investment systems.
Responsible for verifying data integrity, including position and transaction reports as well as asset class and sector groupings.
Liaise with the IT department and Reference Data Maintenance group to drive the automation of all manual reporting.
Assist with the testing of new system enhancements.
Assist in the rationalization of current business processes and the development/ execution of enhancements to them.
Responsible for interacting with various divisions including Investment Services, IT, Systems Support, Client Services and Portfolio Management/ Trading Desk.
Promote customer-focused approach in dealing with customers and clients.
Participate in departmental and interdepartmental projects.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required.
3-5 years direct experience in Investment Accounting, reporting and portfolio performance in an Insurance company or Investment Management firm is required.
Familiarity with fixed income investments, asset classes and investment measures including duration, yield, spread and convexity.
Working knowledge of portfolio performance including Modified Dietz and Time-Weighted methodologies.
Advanced PC skills should include: Excel, Word, Access, Crystal and Microsoft Project.
Proven experience with managing projects from inception to completion.
Familiarity with Eagle PACE data warehouse is a plus.
Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Ability to create business specifications, test plans and implement changes to processes through the use of technology.
Ability to interact with all levels of management.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
