Job Description

Responsibilities:

Track and manage exchange-driven changes
Test and deploy changes in the market data environment
Manage vendor relationships with market data software vendors
Monitor hardware and network infrastructure
Ensure adequate system capacity through proactive planning
Respond to user questions regarding system performance and data quality
Actively participate in the improvement of automated performance monitoring
Assist in evaluating current and future product choices in the market data systems arena
Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelors' degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in a Market Data Administration role
Experience with financial industry applications and environments preferred
Desire to work in a hands-on, non-management role
Ability to write and debug basic scripting in Bash & Perl
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document processes and procedures
Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute in a team environment
Strong team player skills with the ability to work closely with traders and IT alike.
In-depth understanding of software: how to build and deploy it, trouble-shoot it, and diagnose problems
