Job Description

Hedge fund headquartered in New York with several billion dollars under management, is seeking exceptional candidates for its operational efforts.

The organization is extremely flat, non-bureaucratic, and results-oriented, with significant opportunities for exposure to all aspects of hedge fund investing and advancement for talented individuals. Engineers work directly with portfolio managers to create and improve the proprietary systems and applications which are an integral part of our business. Candidates should have a strong intellectual background as well as excellent programming abilities.

Candidates should have the following skills:

- Degree in computer science or related field

- Minor or additional coursework in finance or business administration preferred

- Proficiency in an object oriented language: C# (preferred), C++ or Java

- Proficiency in SQL on any major relational database system

- Experience with windows user interface development (WPF, WinForms, DevExpress) a plus

- Experience in a Microsoft development environment (Visual Studio, Management Studio, Resharper, Express Blend) a plus

- Experience with a source control system (gif preferred)

- Basic knowledge of finance, accounting and statistics

- Highly motivated self-starters, with the ability to multi-task

- Attention to detail
