Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Credit Risk Management is recruiting a Senior Credit Policy Professional at the Vice President level for the Credit Policy Team ("CPT"). This team is responsible for Firm and legal entity Credit Governance, and Credit Policy and Procedure development, implementation, maintenance, oversight and compliance. CPT also oversees the governance and maintenance of the Credit Limits Framework and the Credit Authority Entitlements Framework for the firm and certain legal entity subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in credit risk management with specific experience in policy and procedure development and implementation. In particular, candidates with prior experience in counterparty credit risk management, credit risk systems and project management skills are highly encouraged to apply. The position requires an ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and in various capacities. The position commands a candidate with superior organizational and communication skills to operate effectively.

Skills Required:
- Seasoned credit professional
- Knowledge of Federal Banking regulations
- Highly effective verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of credit risks that arise from lending and counterparty trading
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to understand and apply complex credit concepts
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a complex, dynamic environment
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively manage junior credit policy professionals
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent analytical skills

Skills Desired:
- Ten or more years work experience in financial services and a minimum of 5+ years of experience specifically in Credit Risk, or a related risk control function in a Bank or a supervising regulatory entity
- Knowledge of financial products, financial markets and risk drivers especially those within Fixed Income, Commodities, Equity Derivatives and Loans
- Experience working with global teams across multiple divisions
- Experience working with government regulators and internal and external auditors
