As a Senior Advisor Relationship Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Director for our K-12 retirement plan business in developing a territory and achieving sales targets. You will use your knowledge of the public K-12 market segment and retirement products to collaboratively build a strong client base alongside TIAA Investment Consultants and third party RIA firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works closely with external prospects & partners, including Plan Sponsors, State officials, Association leadership, School District Leadership & employees along with local RIA firms, advisors and Third Party Administrators to achieve sales goals
  • Develops a Plan Sponsor sales strategy in conjunction with the Senior Sales Director
  • Responsible for completing sales, working with internal partners on plan implementation and education for each school district while maintaining an ongoing consultative relationship
  • Develop outbound sales campaigns in conjunction with the Senior Sales Director and conduct outbound calls to identify new advisor relationships and opportunities across multiple product lines including retirement and retail offerings
  • Provide quality oversight of all processes to ensure a high level of service to clients and provide process improvement recommendations
  • Support the retail sales process by communicating with customers to deepen client relationships and ensure positive client experiences that result in greater retention of assets and increased sales
  • Proactively develop and manage all external relationships to strengthen the overall customer experience with TIAA-CREF
  • Work closely with TIAA Inbound and Operations departments to ensure that advisors' service and operational expectations for shared clients are fully achieved
  • Will be expected to support inbound call volume during peak periods of volume to ensure overall service levels are being met by business unit
  • Initiate and follow up on sales calls; answer product questions and provide performance data using in-depth knowledge of TIAA-CREF's products
  • Apply knowledge and communication skills to integrate investment and product offerings into the sales and service processes
  • Ensure all established control procedures are followed and that client satisfaction is met or exceeded as it relates to day-to-day transactional activities
  • Develop a broad understanding of TIAA-CREF investment products, operations and support systems
  • Develop a working knowledge of the various institutional segments TIAA-CREF supports including plan design, fiduciary responsibilities, and ongoing plan management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Five years of related financial services sales or sales support and client facing experience
  • Experience with Registered Investment Advisors and advisor services
  • Experience working in an outbound sales environment
  • Must be comfortable with sales goals and activity targets
  • Must have Series 7 and 63
  • State Insurance Licenses as required
