About the company:

Our client is a top tier global mid-sized investment banking, financial, advisory and funds management services that specialize in defined product and market sectors.

Our clients Compliance division sits within their Risk Management Group. They provide compliance support and advice to the company's operating businesses, assisting them globally to manage their compliance risks.

This role will primarily support all of the company's businesses operating in Canada.

The candidate will be responsible for:

*Strategic and tactical sanctions and AML compliance support to the business

*Completion of business unit risk assessments.

*Development and implementation of reporting policies and procedures for relevant jurisdictions

*Development and delivery of an ongoing sanctions and AML employee training program

*Compliance reporting (e.g. SARs, PEPs, high-risk accounts etc.)

*Development and execution of an annual compliance testing and quality assurance plans.

*Provide advice on all sanctions, AML and other related financial crime matters.

*Participate in global-wide sanctions and AML risk management initiatives of the firm.

The idea candidate must have:

*8-10 years of experience in sanctions and AML

*Robust knowledge of both Canadian AML/ATF regulations, US AML regulations and sanctions requirements.

*Experience in AML risk within investment banking, private wealth management and institutional businesses

*Experience in dealing with US and/or Canadian regulatory authorities
