Job Description

US Investor Tax Reporting

Work with the deal execution team in relation to new investments and with funds administration and deal teams on fund realizations in determining correct tax treatment of fund transactions.
Coordinate with fund administration to ensure efficient dissemination of K-1s.
Coordinate with portfolio companies to ensure portfolio holding company and returns are filed on a timely basis.
Provide for accurate and timely filing of all US based Fund GP returns and dissemination of K-1's to partners/members of the GP. This includes preparation/review of allocation schedules and tax capital accounts for US-based tax returns.
Respond to ad hoc investor queries.

Management Company Tax Issues

Provide for timely preparation and payment of quarterly tax estimates for management company entities, as well as select portfolio companies.

Monitor ongoing correspondence and dealings with the IRS in respect of any US tax related matters.

Other Projects

Preparing and reviewing tax filings.
Stay on top of US tax legislation and proposed tax legislation and how it would affect company. Manage ad hoc projects such as the liquidation of legacy US Fund entities as needed.

Deal Structuring

Manage and work alongside external tax advisers on deals; review their advice and help provide solutions to issues.
Assist the deal teams in comprehending the advice to ensure it meets their commercial objectives

Experience and Qualifications:

8+ years of US Tax experience with a broad knowledge of domestic partnership matters
International tax experience a plus
Undergraduate degree from a credible institution
CPA preferred
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills; detail oriented, ability to think a few steps ahead
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with internal and external counterparties
