As a member of the Transaction Services practice, you will help clients navigate through complicated transactions and events, from evaluation through integration, in a multifaceted business environment. PwC's Transaction Services - Capital Markets Accounting & Advisory Services (CMAAS) practice advises our clients in today's uncertain and complex accounting and financial reporting environment, providing our clients the ability to enhance the quality of their financial reporting. Our customized solutions-oriented approach is tailored to company-specific situations allowing for a thorough approach in anticipating the needs of management, auditors, investors, and regulators.
The CMAAS practice within TS offers clients an integrated approach and practical, customized solutions to complex financial reporting and accounting issues faced by corporate and private equity firms as they navigate the capital markets. CMAAS advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters arising from IPOs, business combinations, private placements, financing, carve-out and spin-off transactions, SEC filings and IFRS/US GAAP conversions and embedding. The practice is known for advising clients on structures that are designed to reflect the spirit and intent of the applicable financial reporting principles, while at the same time addressing how tax, corporate finance and regulatory concerns impact the transaction, leveraging deep knowledge of both US and global exchanges and regulatory processes. Technical accounting focus areas include financial instruments, business combinations/ purchase price allocations, consolidations, leasing, fair-value assessments, convertible securities, derivatives & hedging, stock-based compensation and revenue recognition in both US GAAP and IFRS.
PwC's Project Advisory Services (PAS) practice is a group within CMAAS that delivers project management advice and assistance to multi-national, publicly-traded companies and private equity firms. The PAS group assists and advises clients on implementing an appropriate project structure, developing a framework for communication of status to key stakeholders, preparing complex project plans, advising on timelines and milestones, and effective issue resolution. PAS helps clients drive efficiencies, increases transparency and accountability and leads to successful project completion.
Position/Program Requirements
Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge and success in a role performing in a role in Project Management Office or as manager providing project management advice and/or assistance to external clients, which can include

- Common forms of project management procedures and tools, including project plans, governance structure, status reporting, communication framework and/or issue registers.
- Development of project plans, including providing project reporting, analyzing performance metrics and project risks and managing risks using common industry tools and procedures.

Demonstrates considerable knowledge of, and/or a proven record of success with performing in a role as an individual contributor on financial reporting- or complex accounting-related project teams within a professional services environment, preferably with a background in providing core assurance or auditing services or transaction-related advisement to external clients. This includes considerable knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, IFRS and related financial reporting concepts and rules.

Demonstrates considerable knowledge of and/or a proven record of success in a project engagement role relating to the following areas within a client services environment: IPOs; carve-outs and/or spin-offs; business combinations and/or purchase price allocations; private placements; and/or debt offerings.

An active CPA license or equivalent Chartered Accountant (CA), as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are preferred.

Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success with managing and maintaining relationships with key executives and a network of professional organizations or affiliations.

Demonstrates proven extensive business writing and verbal communication abilities, including developing and presenting complex project documents such project plans, governance structures, status reports, issue registers and other project deliverables for complex projects with multiple workstreams, business units and/or locations.

Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success, as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; creating a positive working environment while meeting client expectations; coaching staff including providing meaningful written and verbal feedback in a timely manner; keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; answering questions; providing direction to less-experienced staff and team members; and participating in various staff recruitment and retention activities.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in a role managing, and/or assisting an external client manage, complex engagements and consistently demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative.
