Marketing Manager (Senior) Elektron Feeds, Platform & Managed Services
Overview
Reporting to the Head of Marketing for the Elektron Feeds, Platform and Managed Services within Trading, contributes to the delivery of business objectives by creating and delivering providing strategic Marketing plans and activities to directly support business objectives such as revenue growth, market positioning and customer retention. Helps architect the customer experience by designing, coordinating, executing and measuring the effectiveness of compelling marketing activities for components of the Elektron Feeds, Platform and Managed Services business while ensuring effective engagement of the business and sales channels in the execution of these plans and co-ordinating this on a global basis. Global responsibility for Marketing strategy, subsequent activities and marketing budget for a specific areas within the Elektron businesses. The role has a global scope and supports the Head of Marketing by developing and coordinating Marketing strategy and operational performance. Requires high levels of collaboration across the business and sales channels and works closely with senior executives in the business. This role provides executive management insight using sophisticated quantitative and qualitative methodologies about the markets, products and services, and customers, and helps to develop both short and long-term strategies for competitive differentiation that contribute to solid business results.
Responsibilities
Leads Global planning, implementation and measurement of the success of specific marketing deliverables in support of specific components of the Elektron Feeds, Platform and Managed Services business. Manages a global virtual team and is accountable for setting the global strategic direction and ensuring the coordination of all marketing activities for the specific business line. Drives the development and implementation of cohesive strategic marketing activities on a global basis, capable of establishing tactical plans and accountable for results. Develops strategic marketing plans through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning. Gains commitment and guides implementation of these marketing plans to ensure delivery of expected results. Ensures all marketing program deliverables demonstrate value and a return on investment, meet our customers strategic requirements and Thomson Reuters quality standards. Monitors all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Develop strategies to meet competitive threats and/or achieve competitive advantage. Develop/promote marketing best practice across Trading Marketing and encourage greater interaction/dialogue with sales and central marketing teams. May manage Managers or a team of individual contributors and has overall responsibility for building and maintaining a high performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of staff. May represent marketing and the business in broader, Thomson Reuters wide projects or initiatives which requires an in-depth knowledge of both Trading propositions and the markets in which we operate.

Required Skills
Must exhibit Global Marketing perspective / understanding of how to drive marketing strategies and plans to benefit the Elektron business sectors in order to set industry and business precedents and stay ahead of the competition. Strong understanding of the global financial markets - customer segments, industry drivers and Elektron capabilities, propositions and solutions. Must have experience of delivering strong, influential communications materials and ability to deliver complex analyses (could be internal/external) on behalf of an organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to provide thought leadership and influence others. Excellent organizational / project management skills working with multiple groups across geographies and cultures. In depth knowledge of TR products and customer segments- with expertise in assigned business or function. Must have strong understanding of global automated trading, the market participants, industry trends and challenges, and vendor solutions available.
Desired Skills
Circa 7 years experience in cross media, sophisticated B2B marketing in the trading technology and content industry, participating on the creation of marketing strategy, plans and budgets spanning industry, marketplace, customers and competition. Experience in working on large projects in a complex, loose matrix organization. European and other languages an advantage
